LIAM THOMAS
Former Ambassador and now L2 Coach
Liam has been part of Aberystwyth Basketball Club for many years, progressing from playing basketball for Wales at U10 level to becoming a highly valued coach and volunteer.
A Level 2 Basketball Coach, Liam has dedicated the last 10 years to volunteering and coaching across all age groups within the club. He also served as a Club Ambassador for more than eight years, helping to promote basketball, inclusion and volunteering within the community.
In 2025, Liam's commitment to inclusive sport was recognised when he received the Disability Volunteer of the Year Award.
Liam is very technical, has a great understanding of sport and now also manages a local football team. Standing at over 6'6", though, we still think he's much better suited to basketball than he is to playing in goal! 😉🏀
